Setting up proposed condition scenarios
Step-by-step:
Once you set up various scenarios, you can also create sub-scenarios of child scenarios that contain different conditions. This allows you to analyze multiple alternatives based on the conditions that you change.
In this tutorial, you set up three new proposed condition scenarios for annual average demands, maximum day demands, and the new pumping scheme. These new proposed condition scenarios will be children of the EXISTING, EX_MAXDAY, and EX_ALTPUMPING scenarios, respectively.
- Open the appropriate .aprx file in ArcGIS Pro.
- From the ribbon, InfoWater Pro tab, Project panel, click Initialize.
- In the Model Explorer, click the Scenario Explorer icon.
- In the Scenario Explorer, under Network Data Scenario(s), select the EXISTING scenario.
- In the toolbar, click New Scenario.
- In the New Data Scenario popup, assign a New ID of 2030 to this sub-scenario, and then click OK.
Pipes will be added to this sub-scenario so that proposed developments coming online by 2030 can be analyzed.
- Repeat steps 4 – 6 for the EX_MAXDAY scenario:
- In the Network Data Scenario(s) section, select the EX_MAXDAY scenario.
- From the toolbar, click New Scenario.
- In the New Data Scenario popup, assign a New ID of “2030_MAXDAY”.
- Click OK.
This sub-scenario will analyze the anticipated 2030 facilities under a maximum day condition.
- Repeat steps 4 – 6 for the EX_ALTPUMPING scenario:
- In the Network Data Scenario(s) section, select the EX_ALTPUMPING scenario.
- From the toolbar, click New Scenario.
- In the New Data Scenario popup, assign a New ID of “2030_ALTPUMPING”.
- Click OK.
This sub-scenario will analyze the anticipated 2030 facilities under the proposed new pumping operations.
- These 2030 sub-scenarios are now ready to be edited:
- Click Exit to close the Scenario Explorer.
