so for the use case we will have
00:02
the objective to manage coordination between two models,
00:06
one from inventor and months from orbit from the rabbit side, we have this model,
00:11
this building with three different views so we have a three d view,
00:15
that is the whole building,
00:16
we have the production review which is the view
00:19
that we are going to insert into our inverter model
00:23
and the production be coordination view that will be the view that
00:27
we're going to send an inventor to place our assembly and to,
00:33
to make the coordination from the emitter side on the right,
00:36
we will have a sub structure that we are
00:38
going to check the coordination with the rabbit part.
00:42
The end goal is to make sure that there is no clash and
00:47
to put the inventors of assembly into rabbit,
00:52
the first demo
00:53
will cover what I just said
00:55
and the first stage
00:56
basically will consist of importing the rabbit model into inventor in order
01:01
to have a first coordination check to see if there is any clash
01:06
in this first video,
01:07
we are going to import the rabbit model
01:09
inside inventor by choosing the corresponding view.
01:12
As explained,
01:13
there are three views available in the rabbit model but one of
01:16
them will be used for coordination the production be coordination view.
01:24
Now, an inventor
01:26
from the assemble tub,
01:27
we can import a cat file and we can select the view that we want to import
01:38
the preview will be generated
01:40
and as you can see
01:42
the number of elements loaded will change depending on the view.
01:55
Once selected a message will pop up.
01:57
If you import a model that contains more than 253 elements,
02:02
it is just to let you know that the number of
02:04
elements imported will of course have an influence on the performance,
02:08
but nothing to be worried about.
02:15
After a few seconds
02:17
the model is loaded and other had initially
02:20
chosen the same origin system for both models,
02:23
I can select place grounded at origin
02:26
to play the rhythm and the model correctly.
02:37
Now we can see that our model has been imported and placed accordingly
02:41
and we can move to the second part of the workflow.
02:49
Now,
02:49
the second video will show the next three
02:51
steps which consists in simplifying the inventor model
02:57
exporting this data model as a
02:60
file and how to make the link inside rabbit with this exported
03:06
the file.
03:07
So after a clash has been identified between the two models,
03:11
preparation is required to correct this clash,
03:15
we want to correct the clash into rivet so
03:18
it is needed to simplify the file from inventor
03:21
than to export it and import it into rabbit
03:25
in order for us to correct the clash
03:27
in rabbit accordingly with the inventive structure.
03:31
We want to make a first coordination check and as you can see,
03:34
we have identified the clash.
03:36
Therefore,
03:37
we will have to modify the rabbit model accordingly to correct this clash,
03:41
but we cannot modify the rabbit model just like that.
03:43
We need to first simplify the inventor model
03:46
to export it and to link in it rivet
03:49
and then we'll be able to correct the clash accordingly
03:53
To do so we are going to use two of the main new features from invented 22.
03:59
The simplified feature and the export to a
04:02
TIF file.
04:03
As you can see the export
04:05
feature is available in the file menu and export a card
04:09
and it will automatically open the simplified comment
04:12
which you should recognize here.
04:15
The new simplified feature has been explained but take a look at how it works in life.
04:19
We can use the presets, the envelopes, expert components remove feature
04:24
and choose the right bit of material structure.
04:28
Do not forget to select,
04:29
enable updating in order to maintain the connection
04:33
link between the inverter model and the exported
04:36
file.
04:37
As explained as well.
04:39
You can win a lot of time if you have already defined views or model states to simplify
04:44
here, I'm going to select my predefined view.
04:47
Rabbit export to make a simplification.
04:50
Now we can click on OK. And then the rabbit model to be exported
04:54
after a few seconds,
04:55
the rabbit model has been created and as you can
04:58
see in the bill of material on the left,
04:60
the new rabbit export folder
05:02
with the corresponding exported violence.
05:07
Let's go back to rabbit now
05:09
so that we can import what we have just created from inventor.
05:13
This time we're going to use the production review
05:20
So we have to go to the insert
05:23
tab link
05:25
and then we have to select the right file
05:28
that we have just exported from inventor.
05:48
Now that the model appear and correctly,
05:51
we can still identify the same class And before we
05:54
can now move forward and correct the clash and rabbit.
05:59
So the third and final demo will show the last step
06:02
of the workflow which is addressed coordination and track changes.
06:08
After we have identified the clash and corrected it,
06:11
we now want to ensure that this correction is being similarly applied to rabbit
06:16
and inventor because we obviously want to avoid double work for the third video,
06:22
we are now going to correct the clash and to
06:25
check that it is applied both in rabbit and inventor.
06:28
So to correct it, we're going to modify this distance between those two elements
06:36
Instead of five m.
06:38
We will put three m
06:47
we can see that directly.
06:49
The clashes corrected in rabbit because we have multiple clash here but now we
06:52
want to make sure that the clash will be also corrected in inventor.
06:57
So after saving the file, we can go back to the inventor
07:02
in order to to check that it is applied as well.
07:07
So once in inventor we just have to first
07:10
of all apply visibility again for the rabbit view
07:15
and the clash is still existing
07:19
and you can see on the left this yellow symbol
07:23
that is indicating that there is an update to be done.
07:26
So we're just clicking on it and waiting a few seconds
07:33
you will see that the clashes now corrected in inventor
07:37
because there is this link maintained between inventor and rabbit.
07:41
So as you can see the clashes corrected and
07:44
we have now successfully coordinated the two mothers.
07:52
Okay, so to summarize,
07:53
I have prepared a slide
07:56
to present two extra, explain once again what you have done.
07:58
So the first step was considered in opening the assembly find inventor.
08:04
This would be the file that will be finally placed into rabbit.
08:09
Then we had used any technology to import the ragged file into inventory.
08:15
The purpose of this step was to check the
08:18
coordination and check that there is no clash.
08:21
In our case, we saw that there was a clash which was the second.
08:25
The third step then we have used both the
08:28
two main updates which are the simplification and export to
08:33
a TIF file to simplify the model and to export it into into
08:37
the file. And then from rabbit we have been able to modify and to correct the clash
08:43
and to make it being applied to inventor as well.
08:47
So this lives summarize the capabilities that have been shown
08:51
and that are very useful for this for this look for
