for this practice exercise. Let's begin with the supply data set, render
00:09
practise dot F 3D.
00:11
We're gonna navigate to the render workspace and we want
00:14
to change the material or the appearance of our sunglasses
00:18
to do this. We're gonna start by going to appearance
00:21
and we wanna change the wood appearance to something else in this design
00:26
to do this. We want to go to our plastic materials.
00:32
We're gonna scroll down until we find our transparent materials
00:40
and we're gonna give this a acrylic clear appearance
00:44
and we're gonna drag and drop this over our woodd material.
00:48
Next,
00:48
we're going to right click and edit this material
00:50
and we wanna change its color to something that's green
00:53
and we're gonna drag the color slider over.
00:56
Next, we're going to select done close this and begin an in canvas render.
01:03
You can see here by changing the appearance.
01:06
We now have a roughly clear material with a slight green tint
01:10
which can give a very realistic render.
01:13
When you start to use these types of appearances in your design.
01:18
We're gonna go ahead and stop the in canvas
01:20
render and we're gonna start an actual render.
01:23
Keep in mind that this can be done locally or on the cloud.
01:25
And depending on your settings,
01:27
this may or may not require you to use cloud credits or flex tokens.
01:31
We're gonna select render and create our final render.
01:35
While this is rendering, we're gonna rotate the view around slightly
01:39
zoom in just slightly
01:42
and start one more render
01:47
now that we have both renders complete. Let's go ahead and take a look.
01:51
So once again,
01:52
we have a pretty unique view using that
01:54
plastic material and simply changing the color.
01:57
So go ahead and continue to play around
01:59
with changing the appearance of your glasses.
02:01
And once you're done, make sure that everything is safe before moving on.
