Configure print and export settings

A set is simply a collection of views and sheets

that can be printed or exported.

There are several places where you can create a set.

Let's take a look at an example,

click the file tab and then select export pdf.

This opens the pdf export dialog.

Make sure that selected views, sheets is selected and then click the pencil button

to open the select views sheets. Dialogue.

This is where you can create new sets

to create a new set, click create new empty set.

I'll name this set, all sheets

and then I'll click OK.

At this point we can select any view or sheet in the project

to include in the set.

If you have several views and sheets, you can use the display filter

to narrow down the list of views and sheets

For this example, we just want sheets.

So we can de select both two D and 3D views.

Then we can click check all to select all of the sheets.

Additionally, you can select hide unchecked views sheets

so that you can see just what you have selected

once you have the desired views and sheets selected,

click save current set.

Additionally, you can click edit print order and then adjust the print order

of the sheets or views that you have selected.

You can choose an option at the top browser, organization,

sheet number or manual order.

If you select manual order,

you can then click and drag to adjust the order.

Once you're satisfied with the order, click OK.

And then you can click save current set

then with this, the desired set, selected click select

and now you can see it appear in the list

but you could always expand that. Drop down and choose another set.

Now that we have a set,

we can export it to pdf or even when we're printing, we can select that set and print it

Right now, we'll continue with the pdf export and we'll take a look here at the size.

You can expand the drop down and select a specific size

or you can just leave it set to use sheet size,

then I'll leave it set to fit to page and I'll leave the other options as they are.

But as you can see there are multiple options there to configure your P D F,

Then once you're satisfied, click export

and rev it will export all of the views and sheets in your set

to a pdf file, in the location that you had specified.

you can open the file and take a look at your pdf

There are several options when you're exporting to cad

you can control how the rev it categories get exported to cad layers.

then you can control what to do with the overrides.

and then you can choose to load layers from standards and there are multiple options

You can control the solids that will be exported for three D views.

And so if you're exporting to any type of three d cad,

compare the file sizes of the cad file that you export

So if you are doing any type of coordination with other disciplines,

So those are some of the options that you need to pay attention to.

If you want to export to cad,

you can select CAd formats and then choose the

specific cad format you want to export to.

You can also export to I F C and create an I

F C file and you can export to images and animations.

So if you have and you can export to an image, if you have a walkthrough,

You can also export schedules.

But in order to export a schedule,

a schedule must be the active view.

So if we go to the project browser and open the room schedule,

we can then go back to the file tab and select export reports,

And now we can export a C S V file or a text file.

So I'll select C S V and then click save

and then we can choose some export schedule options here.

And then once again you can open up that file and take a look at what was exported
