Create a schedule view when you want to easily see the parameters associated with the elements in your project.
00:12
The columns or fields that make up the schedule are the parameters of the elements.
00:17
When you set up a schedule view, you'll need to select the parameters that are important to you.
00:23
On the View tab, click Schedules, Schedule Quantities to begin making the schedule.
00:29
Next, pick the category for the schedule.
00:32
This tells the schedule what model elements to look for in the project.
00:36
In this example, we will make a room finish schedule, so the Rooms category is selected, and the schedule is given a name.
00:45
In the Schedule Properties dialogue on the Fields tab, you select the fields you want to appear in your schedule.
00:52
A list of all available fields is shown on the left.
00:56
This list contains all of the possible parameters associated with the Schedule category.
01:01
In this case, all of the parameters associated with the Rooms category are listed.
01:07
Select a field on the left and use the control to move it to the right.
01:12
Fields moved to the right side of the dialog will be displayed in the schedule.
01:17
The top-to-bottom order of the list indicates the left-to-right position in the schedule.
01:22
Continue to add fields from the left column to the right column as needed.
01:27
Use the control or shift keys to multi select fields to move more than one at a time.
01:34
To remove a field from the schedule, select it in the column on the right and use the control to move it back to the column on the left.
01:41
You may also reorder the fields in the schedule by using the controls below the right column.
01:47
Once the fields have been selected and placed in the correct order, click OK to create the schedule.
