PRESENTER: In this session, we will
00:01
walk through the specific steps for Managing Node
00:04
and Package Paths inside Dynamo for Civil 3D.
00:07
Managing paths is an important step
00:09
to ensuring the downloaded packages appear
00:11
every time you open Dynamo.
00:13
This is also the area where we manage packages
00:16
that are distributed to a wider audience
00:17
inside an organization.
00:20
We are now the third step in the workflow,
00:22
Managing Package Paths inside Dynamo.
00:25
Let's switch over to Dynamo and get started.
00:28
I have already accessed the Dynamo interface
00:30
by clicking on the Manage tab inside of Civil 3D, Visual
00:34
Programming panel, and clicking on the Dynamo icon.
00:38
Once inside the Dynamo interface,
00:40
click on the settings menu at the top.
00:43
Choose Manage Node and Package Paths.
00:51
Within the dialog box, we have several paths already saved.
00:54
The top half is the default save location.
00:57
On the left side of the dialog box,
00:59
we can move paths up or down based on priority.
01:04
The plus sign allows the addition
01:06
of a new folder location.
01:08
If you have a specific folder location
01:10
to share individual nodes or whole packages
01:12
within your organization, you would add this path here.
01:16
The minus sign allows the removal of specific paths.
01:21
The ellipses to the right of each path location
01:24
will direct you to the specific location
01:26
inside Windows Explorer.
01:29
Once we have completed modifications
01:30
to the node and package paths, click accept changes.
01:35
This process of managing node and package paths
01:37
ensures the packages will remain available every time
01:40
we open Dynamo.
