Let's start with setting up a BIM 360 project.
00:14
The first thing you need to do is actually buy at least one seat of BIM 360.
00:19
No, it does not come with your current subscription to the AEC Collection.
00:23
It's separate.
00:24
There are also different tiers of BIM 360.
00:27
You're going to need to contact your Autodesk reseller to see which bundle is right for you.
00:32
I think I know, but these bundles change a lot.
00:34
And the advice I give you at the time of the filming of this video will probably be different by the time you watch it.
00:41
That being said, the objective of this video is to set up a BIM 360 project.
00:47
I'm going to open up any Internet browser.
00:49
I happen to be in Chrome.
00:52
I have shortcuts, of course.
00:54
So, if you go to "b2.autodesk.com/access" and log in with your credentials, you'll get to your hub.
01:05
Depending on what seats you've purchased, you may have more or less than I have here.
01:11
I'm going to go right to my BIM 360 Account Admin.
01:21
By default, it ends up somewhere, so I'm going to click my drop-down here. And I can change my account or go to another account.
01:28
So, if I change my account, I go to my CNS Companies account.
01:36
And here's all my projects.
01:38
I'm going to add a project right now, so click "Add".
01:44
My project name will be "Autodesk Mixed Use Community".
01:59
The Project Type, actually, for this one, it's going to be a hospital.
02:04
So we'll go down to "Health Care", we'll go to "Hospital".
02:10
Construction Type, it's Brand New.
02:14
Project Value: I don't know, we'll say 4,000,000 in US dollars.
02:23
Contract Type: Design-Bid-Build.
02:29
You have to give it a project start date. So, I'll start it today.
02:33
And I guess I'll end it today next year.
02:38
Project Job Number: 1234567.
02:45
We don't have any Business Unit set, but that's okay.
02:49
Project Image: I think I'll grab an image.
02:51
So we'll just click Browse and we can go to where we're keeping our Exercise Files.
02:58
Now let's grab my Logo.
03:01
For the rest of it, we can fill out the Project Address, the city, and everything else later.
03:09
I'm going to click Save and Continue.
03:16
Now there's a few items that we can activate.
03:18
Again, you may have more or less than I have, but I'm going to activate Document Management.
03:23
So, I'll click Activate here.
03:27
I'm going to put my name in or I could just type in Eric Wing, and that's me right there.
03:40
I'll put my company in.
03:44
Now Save it.
03:47
I like to Hide the Admins because it gets a little sloppy when we start activating others.
03:53
So, I'm going to click Activate for Project Management.
03:56
Eric Wing.
04:02
I'll put in my company, I'll save it.
04:08
Hide it.
04:10
Design Collaboration: I'm going to activate this.
04:13
Eric Wing, it's me.
04:19
My company, I will save it.
04:23
Hide Admins. BIM 360 Glue: I'm going to activate it.
04:30
Now we can go with Classic or Model Coordination.
04:32
In this case, I'll go with the newer Model Coordination.
04:37
I am Eric Wing and my company.
04:43
Save it.
04:45
Hide those Admins.
04:47
Now I'm going to activate Field Management.
04:52
Enter my name.
04:57
My company.
04:60
I'm going to save it.
05:02
Here we go, Finish.
05:06
And now here is my Autodesk Mixed Use Community.
05:11
So, we can double click on this.
05:15
And we only have one Project Member.
05:18
I'm going to give myself access to Insight. I am the Project Admin.
05:22
But now, if we notice, if we click on the 9-dot button,
05:26
we can go to Project Home, Document Management, Project Management, Model Coordination, and of course, Account Admin.
05:33
So, there you go. That's how you set up a BIM 360 Project.
