PRESENTER: Starting on our project home screen,
00:04
we will navigate to document management module again.
00:09
Once on the document management module,
00:10
we will select the PDF number
00:17
Once this file is open, we will then
00:20
start to investigate the markup tools that
00:23
are available inside BIM360.
00:26
Our markup tools are located over here
00:28
on the right side of our screen.
00:32
We're able to easily communicate with our design team
00:36
by adding the information directly
00:37
to the PDFs that were saved up into the BIM360 portal.
00:43
The markup tools are also available in the project files
00:47
folders for any documents that you may have uploaded there.
00:52
So what we're doing here is we've created
00:54
a markup in our drawing.
00:55
And we've set that markup to public so everyone that
00:59
is part of the project can see the markets that
01:01
have been created for this particular sheet.
01:04
We can go over to our markups tab
01:06
and change that status if we so desire.
01:10
And now we're included in another markup.
01:12
And this time, the text that we're going to put in we're
01:15
going to rotate and show you that we have a variety of tools
01:19
and a variety of ways to format the information or the markups
01:23
that we're adding to our documents.
01:34
And once we've created our markup and saved it,
01:36
we can then come back to any of the markups
01:39
that we've created in the past and edit those.
01:42
You see that BIM360 then moves the focus to the markup
01:49
that we've chosen to edit, and all of the tools
01:51
become available to us for markups.
01:55
There are a number of tools at the bottom of the BIM360 window
01:58
that give us access to controlling
01:59
the way the document displays in our browser,
02:03
as well as full control over the layers
02:05
that were published through Civil 3D.
02:14
We now move down the list on the left hand side to our issues.
02:19
We can create an issue around a specific area
02:22
or mark the issue location inside the documents in BIM360.
02:29
Once we have marked the issue, we
02:31
are given the opportunity to provide
02:33
some additional information about that issue,
02:35
as well as assigning the issue to a specific individual
02:39
in our BIM360 project and assign a due date
02:44
for that specific issue.
02:47
We are given the opportunity to provide
02:49
some additional information via a description
02:52
and a root cause for this issue as being displayed.
02:57
As previously mentioned, when you
02:58
upload a new version of your PDF to the BIM360 environment,
03:02
you are not overwriting or losing
03:05
your previous documentation, but merely adding a new version
03:08
of that particular file.
03:10
This gives you the ability to revert back
03:13
or to compare those documents as we showed earlier.
03:17
Now we'll migrate back to the insights module
03:20
to take a look at our home dashboard
03:23
to find out about any issues or any information
03:25
about our project that is important to us.
03:33
We will now migrate back over into the document management
03:37
module, and we will take a look at our version and control,
03:40
understanding that we have the ability
03:42
to go back to a previous version of a document
03:46
that we have saved up into the BIM360 portal.
03:49
This gives us the opportunity to restore a document that
03:54
may have been removed by mistake or revert back
03:58
to a document due to a change in our project design.
04:02
Also know that you have access to a trash
04:05
facility inside BIM360 so your documentation is never deleted
04:10
permanently from your project.
04:12
You do have access to go back to those particular files
04:15
that you have removed.
04:17
As you can see here, I am going to revert back
04:19
to the first version of this particular drawing,
04:24
because it is the one that was showing the profile of you
04:27
as we intended it to be shown.
