Exercise: Add and Manage Issues

Task 1: Adding Issues in the Structure Model

  1. Log on to your ACC project.
  2. From the 02-Structure folder, open the Structure Revit model.
  3. Navigate to the area where you want to add an issue.
  4. From the toolbar on the right, click the Issues flyout and select Design; the issue type is set to Design.
  5. Place the issue pin on one of the structural elements that needs to be changed.
  6. In the Issues panel on the right, enter all the issue details, as shown below.

  1. Close the Issues
  2. Repeat this process to add more issues to the elements that require changes. The figure below shows the model with several issues added and displayed as pins.

Task 2: Adding Issues in the Civil DWG File

  1. From the Civil folder, open the Civil DWG file.
  2. Using the Sheets & Views panel, open the 3D view.
  3. Navigate to the area where you want to add an issue.
  4. From the toolbar on the right, click the Issues flyout and select Design; the issue type is set to Design.
  5. Place the issue pin on the element that needs to be changed.
  6. In the Issues panel on the right, enter all the issue details, as shown below.

  1. Close the Issues
  2. Repeat this process to add more issues to the elements that require changes.
  3. Close the DWG file to return to the Files

Task 3: Reviewing All Issues Added in the Project

  1. From the Navigation Bar on the right, click the Issues tool; all the issues added in the project are displayed, as shown below.

  1. Click on one of the issues to display the flyout panel with all the information related to the issue.
  2. Similarly, review the information related to the other issues.
