Let's take a minute to talk strategy for fixing errors
00:07
in your fusion models.
00:09
If you're like me, when I was starting out with ac ad tool, if I came across a problem,
00:13
I would calmly go up and close the file.
00:17
This is incredibly inefficient. So let's talk about a better way.
00:22
First, let's look at errors versus warnings. Errors pop up in giant loud red
00:29
and that means
00:30
catastrophic cannot solve. You can't even see it in the model.
00:34
The warning is a little more mellow, it's still solving. It's still showing you
00:40
the results maybe in the model, but it's missing a reference, it's missing a sketch,
00:45
it's missing a sketch playing.
00:47
So first things first roll back to the beginning of your first error or warning.
00:53
So let's look at our example. We go back and we review the warning.
00:57
The first warning is it's got a reference failure.
00:59
Something about the sketch plane is lost, right?
01:03
Click redefine that sketch plane,
01:05
I select a plane that's as close to the original as I can find.
01:09
I select this flat face.
01:11
Now going to the next we review looks like it's
01:14
again missing geometry as a part of the reference.
01:17
I'll then redefine that sketch plane,
01:20
select an edge that's similar to the one before
01:25
and now the next error we have an extrude that's failing to solve.
01:28
And what's interesting is the sketch is missing.
01:31
We then roll back before the extrude sketch again,
01:35
either remeasure the old extrudes that's there or you can
01:38
sketch an entirely new shape like I'm doing here,
01:41
select the profile and attach it to the extrude.
01:45
The final error in my tree is catastrophic. It's a failure to solve the filet.
01:51
I'll then reselect an edge, give it a new value
01:55
and resolve.
01:56
So bumping into warnings and errors and ac ad tool is completely normal.
01:60
It happens when you're making design changes.
02:02
So hopefully you feel a little more confident to go in and
02:05
make those updates as you go through and fix your errors.
