Import, process, and index scan data to create a point cloud in ReCap Pro.

In Autodesk ReCap Pro, you can create a point cloud from scan or drone data that is ready to be imported into other Autodesk applications,

such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or Inventor.

From the ReCap Pro Home screen, click new project.

In the new project popup, select import point cloud to import the scan data.

In the create new project popup, add a name, and specify the save location.

Click proceed.

Click select files to import to see a list of supported file formats.

Navigate to your scan folder and select all the scan files in the folder, or simply drag and drop to the target shown on the screen.

Note that if a coordinate system is needed or a transformation required, this can be specified in the advanced tab.

Click import files in the bottom right.

The files start importing.

Once all the files have been imported and registered successfully, they are ready to be indexed.

Click index scans in the bottom right of the screen to proceed.

Once the indexing is complete, click launch project.
