Length:
2 min.
Transcript
00:04
In ReCap Pro, you can convert your point cloud to a mesh using the scan-to-mesh service,
00:11
for use in other Autodesk design products.
00:14
To begin the scan to mesh process, you first define the points that you want included from your project scene.
00:22
Use editing tools, such as the Limit Box, Clip, Region, and Deletion to control how much of the point cloud is displayed in your scene.
00:32
Only the visible area will be meshed.
00:35
From the Data Services tile menu, select scan to mesh, and then click start.
00:43
In the Scan to Mesh dialog, enter a mesh name and set the location of the Autodesk connected drive.
00:52
The generated mesh can be saved to Autodesk Drive, BIM 360 or Autodesk Docs.
00:60
Next, define the mesh quality for the output by selecting Low, Medium, or High.
01:07
Finally, select the output format, and then click Submit.
01:13
Once the processing has finished, you are notified inside Recap Pro that the mesh was created.
01:20
You also receive an e-mail stating that the mesh is done.
01:24
You can download the mesh file—in this case, from Autodesk Docs—and open it in ReCap Photo, for example.
01:33
Alternatively, open the mesh in InfraWorks to populate rich contextual content for your model.
