Add people stands to your railway network to enable the ability for passengers to board and disembark trains.

When creating a railway network in Mobility Simulation,
00:07
once you have added and connected rail segments, the next step is to add stands.
00:12
Railway stands are platforms that allow the people in a multimodal simulation model to board and exit the train.
00:20
Begin with an InfraWorks Mobility Simulation model open, with two railway segments already connected.
00:27
For this example, you need to add four stands, one stand for each end of the railway,
00:32
along with two intermediate points along the train route.
00:36
Use the ViewCube to zoom in to the bottom end of your railway model.
00:40
To add a stand, pick the left rail lane, right-click, and select Lane > New Stand.
00:47
Zoom in again to see the people stand now in place.
00:51
It appears very small, but you can adjust the size for a clearer view.
00:56
Right-click the stand, and select Adjust.
00:60
This opens the Adjust dialog.
01:03
Here, you can specify attributes such as the name, description, size, offset, and number of doors for the stand.
01:12
For this example, on the Stands tab, change the Size to 40 meters.
01:18
Click Apply, and then Close.
01:21
The train stand now appears larger, extending down one end of the railway model.
01:26
Repeat the same process to create a second stand farther along the train route.
01:31
Again, pick the left rail lane, right-click, and select Lane > New Stand.
01:38
In the Adjust dialog, again, set the Size to 40.
01:43
The other thing you need to set here is the number of Doors.
01:47
These passenger entry and exit points are essentially the queueing points on the train platform.
01:53
For this example, set the number of Doors to 10, and then click Apply.
01:58
Zoom out to see the second 40-meter platform in the railway system.
02:03
While not currently visible, the 10 doors you just added are now placed equidistantly across the length of the stand.
02:10
Repeat the same process to add a third stand with 10 doors farther along the train route.
02:16
Then, add a final stand without doors near the end of the rail.
02:21
With four train stands placed in your InfraWorks Mobility Simulation model,
02:25
the next step is to create a scheduled train service for the railway network.
