in profile labels. We can add labels of different types to our profile.
00:14
We can label major and minor stations,
00:17
horizontal geometry points,
00:20
lines,
00:22
grade bras
00:23
and crest and SAG curves.
00:27
We won't label the stations as these can be annotated on the profile view.
00:31
So we'll focus on the geometry
00:34
for grade breaks at the label style station over elevation.
00:38
You can preview the label style here.
00:42
This will label changes in adjacent tangent grades where there are no curves
00:48
for great bra labels. You can change the staggering option
00:52
set this to stagger both sides which will move the labels apart
00:56
when they are in close proximity to another grade break label.
01:00
For lines will use percent grade
01:03
which will label the line with its gradient
01:07
for crest curves at the style crest and Sag
01:11
with the Charred style of crest only
01:15
repeat for the SAG curves
01:17
using S A only
01:20
click apply to see the labels.
01:23
We can see that the curve labels are placed just above the profile
01:28
will adjust this to place them towards the top of the profile view
01:32
in the label settings.
01:34
There are columns for dim anchor options and dim anchor value.
01:39
The dim anchor option controls the default position of the label
01:43
and the value adjusts it above or below. The anchor
01:47
for Crest and SAG curves
01:49
set the dim anchor option to graph you top
01:53
and the value to minus 1.5
01:56
click apply to see the new label positions.
02:00
We'll want to be consistent in our labeling. So we'll create a label set for these
02:05
so that we can apply the same labels to all of our design profiles.
02:10
Call the new label set, design labels.
02:15
We might want different labels for drawing production.
02:18
So we could create a different label set for that
02:20
and change the label sets. Whenever we need to,
02:25
lets apply our new styles to the sycamore heights profile
02:31
set the style to design style,
02:34
then go to edit labels
02:36
and import your new design labels, label set.
02:41
Now we'll add some general profile view labels that you can use
02:45
to annotate anything in the profile view,
02:48
select the view
02:50
and on the ribbon, choose a
02:51
view labels
02:54
and then station elevation.
02:58
Pick a point on the top of the ground slope has shown
03:02
you can select a station and an innovation separately using this label.
03:06
So you'll need to snap twice,
03:09
drag the label off to one side to place a leader.
03:14
Now will add a different label
03:16
this time, choose depth.
03:20
We can use this label to annotate a difference in innovation
03:25
in the view, pick two points on the ground slope. As shown,
03:29
we don't actually want to show the depths here but the grade,
03:34
although we only had one choice of label.
03:36
When we used the ribbon, there are other stars we can use,
03:40
select the label right click and choose label properties.
03:46
Change the style to slope one X.
