In ReCap Pro, Linear Feature Extraction allows you to extract linear features,
00:09
such as curbs and gutters, from a point cloud dataset.
00:13
Published ReCap point cloud projects have access to extraction tools in the Autodesk Construction Cloud viewer.
00:20
Before you extract a linear feature, the feature’s shape must be defined.
00:25
From a web browser, navigate to a ReCap project that has already been published to the cloud
00:30
with a linear feature extraction already in progress.
00:34
From the toolbar, click Linear Feature Extraction.
00:37
Then, select Feature Extraction Settings.
00:40
This displays the Feature Extraction Settings dialog.
00:45
Here, you can adjust the Alignment Algorithm Threshold.
00:48
This specifies the confidence threshold of the reference data to continue linear feature extraction.
00:54
If the value during extraction becomes lower than this baseline,
00:57
auto extraction will pause.
00:60
Once paused, you will be prompted to either stop the extraction and adjust the cross section,
01:04
or to ignore the pause and continue extraction.
01:08
From the dialog, you can also adjust the step interval.
01:12
This is the distance between each cross section during extraction.
01:17
Finally, you can also specify the depth of the cross section,
01:20
which is the depth of view as seen in the Cross Section View.
