And zooming in,
00:04
we can see we have one long pane of glass for each side of the glazed roof there.
00:09
And we'd like to split that into smaller pieces.
00:12
So we need to add some grid lines in first
00:15
and to do this,
00:16
we need to edit the type properties of the sloped glazing.
00:19
So with it selected
00:21
on the top of the properties palette here, we'll click edit type.
00:26
Now looking at the parameters, we have a panel for grid one
00:30
and we can see that its layout is set to none.
00:33
So we've changed this to be a fixed number
00:37
and then we can click OK to save that change.
00:40
And in the view here,
00:41
we can see that we now have some grid lines
00:43
and looking at the properties palette here for the panel.
00:46
For grid one, we can see that we have four grid lines.
00:49
So we changed this to 10.
00:51
And then once that's supplied,
00:52
we can see that number of grid lines updated within the roof.
00:57
So now we just need to add the
00:59
malls.
00:59
So from the architecture ribbon tab on the build panel, we choose the mallon tool,
01:05
we can see that we have the rectangular
01:07
mullion 1.5 by three inch rectangular selected and
01:10
we'll use this one for now. So
01:13
looking at the placing mullion's ribbon, we have some placement options and
01:16
we've changed from single grid line to all grid lines.
01:20
And then we can come into the model and just click on the grid lines
01:23
on either side here and we can see those millions have been placed
01:27
and creating the frame around our skylight
01:31
zooming into the ridge a little,
01:32
we can see that we actually have two millions across here
01:36
and it makes it look like it's slightly disconnected.
01:39
So we'll replace these with one corner
01:41
ion.
01:43
So let's do this. We'll select on one of the mullions here
01:46
and now we will right click
01:49
and from the select
01:50
ions sub menu here, we'll choose on grid line
01:55
and that's now selected all of the malls along that bridge line.
01:58
So we'll go to the type selector and then we'll change it from the rectangular
02:09
And then once we apply this,
02:10
we can see we get a warning down here in the bottom right corner
02:14
and it's telling us that the quad corner cannot overlap
02:17
the other set of mullions on the opposite side.
02:20
So we'll click the delete elements option
02:23
to delete those mullions
02:25
and then we'll be left with that quad corner mullion along the ridge of our skylight
02:30
zooming out. We can see that
02:32
completes the frames on the skylights there
02:35
and finishes making the glazed roof.
