00:04
So whilst that schedule lists out all of the furniture individually
00:07
will create a room data schedule that will schedule
00:10
the rooms and the furniture within each room.
00:15
So to do this, we'll go to the view ribbon tab
00:18
and from the create panel,
00:20
we'll click these schedules,
00:21
drop down and then select these schedules and quantities
00:25
at the top. Here we search for the category room,
00:28
then we can select the room category
00:32
and now I'll change the name of the schedule to be room data schedule
00:38
and then we'll click ok to go to the schedule properties.
00:43
So from the list of available fields,
00:45
I'll choose the number and then add this to the scheduled fields
00:49
and then we'll choose the name parameter and add this into the fields.
00:52
And finally, we'll add the level to be on the scheduled fields as well.
00:58
Next, I'll swap to the sorting and grouping tab
01:02
and we first so by number
01:05
and then by name,
01:09
and we'll check to enable a header under the name field to create a group by room name.
01:14
And we'll also check the box here to add a blank line between those groups
01:20
to add the furniture in. We'll go to the embedded schedule tab here.
01:25
And first we'll check the box to enable an embedded schedule
01:29
and from the list of categories, we'll scroll down and choose furniture.
01:34
Now we'll click the button here to access the embedded scheduled properties.
01:40
You can see.
01:40
Now this is gonna give us another schedule within the room schedule here. So
01:45
from the available fields,
01:46
I first choose the count field and add this to the scheduled fields.
01:51
And I would choose the family
01:53
and add that one in.
01:55
And finally, we'll grab the type parameter and add that to the scheduled fields.
01:60
And I go to the sorting and grouping tab
02:03
and first we'll sort by family and then by type.
02:07
Now we'll go down to the bottom of the box here
02:09
and we'll uncheck the itemize every instance option,
02:13
which means that now we have them grouped by family and type and the count
02:18
will reflect the number of each family and type that are in the room.
02:22
So we'll click ok to save the embedded schedule properties
02:25
and then we'll click ok again, to finish creating that room data schedule,
02:30
we can see that it's created here.
02:31
So for us to see it a little bit easier, I'll hold down the control key
02:35
and roll the mouse wheel to zoom in.
02:38
Now, we can see the individual rooms.
02:40
So for example, we have office and it's number 306. And on the floor three,
02:46
we can see that we've got four chair task arms and four desks of 60 by 30 inch.
02:54
And as we keep scrolling down, we can see the different rooms. And
02:58
if I get down to here that we have the open work area,
03:01
which is on floor four and it's room number 404.
03:04
We can see that that has seven cabinets, 12 chairs,
03:08
three credenzas and 12 desks in there.
03:11
So we can see we've got this room data schedule now where we
03:14
can see each room and then the furniture that's located in that room.
03:20
So looking across other project browser
03:22
under the sheets group in here,
03:24
we can see that we have a sheet, a 101 meeting rooms.
03:28
I'll double click to open this up.
03:31
I'm looking at the sheet here. We can see we have a view placed on this
03:35
and it displays just two of the meeting rooms and also
03:38
one of the open work areas on the fourth floor.
03:41
It would be good to place the room data schedule
03:44
onto this sheet showing the equipment that is in those rooms.
03:48
So to do this, I'll go back to the project browser
03:51
and we'll expand out the schedules and quantities group
03:55
and here we can see our room data schedule.
03:57
So with it selected,
03:59
we'll track it out into the view
04:05
and we can see it's gonna be a very long schedule
04:08
at the moment. So I'll zoom out
04:10
and we want to place it so that the top of the schedule
04:13
is somewhere near the top of the view
04:18
and zooming in, we can see that we have the entire schedule.
04:21
So we have all of the rooms throughout the entire building.
04:24
And as I said before, really,
04:25
we just like the rooms that are visible on the sheet here.
04:30
So to do this, we need to filter this room data schedule.
04:35
So
04:36
I'll go to the project browser
04:38
and I'll click on the room data schedule here so that it's selected.
04:43
And then looking at the properties palette,
04:46
we can see that these are now the properties of the room data schedule.
04:50
So we'll click the edit button next to the filter parameter here.
04:55
And now we can see we're in the schedule properties on the filter tab
04:59
and at the bottom, we can see we have a check box here which is filter by sheet.
05:03
So we'll check this.
05:04
And with this checked,
05:05
it means the schedule would display only the objects that are
05:08
visible on the sheet that the schedule is placed onto.
05:13
So we'll click. Ok. Now
05:15
straight away, we can see that that schedule is reduced in size.
05:18
And looking here, we can see just the meeting rooms on the fourth floor
05:21
and the open work area that's visible on the sheet.
05:25
As a result of using the filter by sheet option,
05:28
we could place this schedule on multiple sheets
05:32
and it would only display the information
05:34
that is visible on each individual sheet.
05:36
And therefore,
05:37
save us having to create lots of separate schedules for use on separate sheets.
