A room data schedule can help with the planning and fit out of a building
00:09
rather than just list all of the components within the entire building.
00:12
A room data schedule will group them by the room that they are placed in.
00:17
And this will help the contractor plan
00:18
and check that everything is in the correct place.
00:23
And we're looking at the floor four plan view and here we can see that
00:26
there's quite a lot of furniture located
00:29
throughout the different rooms on this plan.
00:31
And this is also repeated on the other levels within the building.
00:36
First to help us locate the furniture, we'll create a furniture schedule.
00:41
So we'll go to the view ribbon tab
00:44
and from the create panel, we'll click the schedules drop down
00:47
and then we'll select schedules and quantities.
00:51
So we'll search for the category of furniture at the top here
00:55
and then from the filtered list of categories here, we can see we've got furniture.
00:59
So
00:60
we'll select this and then click ok to go to the schedule properties.
01:06
Now, from the list of available fields,
01:09
I'll first choose the family field
01:11
and then we'll click the add the schedule button.
01:13
Here to send it across to the scheduled fields, column.
01:18
Next, we'll add the type parameter and add that to the scheduled fields too.
01:23
Now, looking above here, we'll change the select available fields from
01:29
and we'll change it from furniture to room.
01:32
Now,
01:32
the available fields that we can see will relate
01:35
to the room that the furniture is located in.
01:38
So we'll choose the room name and add this to the scheduled fields.
01:42
Then we'll get the room number
01:45
and then also the room level
01:48
are now swapped to eat salty and group in tab.
01:52
And first, I'll sort by family
01:55
and then by type
01:58
and under the family here,
01:59
I'll check to create a header and group the schedule by family.
02:03
And we'll also check for a blank line between the groups.
02:06
So I'll click, ok.
02:09
And we can see that schedule has been created
02:12
and we have each individual item of furniture listed out.
02:16
However,
02:16
we can see that it's grouped by the family name
02:18
as we wanted it to be with the header here
02:22
and then organized by the type
02:25
and we have the room name number and also the level of that room listed here too.
02:30
If I select on one of the rows of the schedule here,
02:33
we can go to the modified schedules and quantities, ribbon tab
02:37
and from the element panel here, we'll click highlighting model,
02:41
we can see that that will take us to a view of
02:43
the model where we can see the item that we have got selected
02:47
and we have an option here that will allow us to
02:50
search through multiple views if it's not immediately clear in this view. So
02:54
I'll click close because we can see it in the background.
02:56
And we can see that we have that piece of furniture selected
02:59
and zooming out. We can see where it's located within the plan.
03:04
So I'll swap back to the furniture schedule
03:09
and I'll pick a different row this time.
03:11
And again, we'll click highlight in model from the ribbon tab.
03:15
Once again,
03:16
it swaps back to the plan view zoomed into that particular piece of furniture.
03:21
We'll click close again on this message.
03:23
We can see we have that chair selected with its properties here
03:27
and as we zoom out, we can see whereabouts it's located within the floor plan.
