To prepare for running a valve model simulation in Autodesk CFD,

once the inlet conditions are assigned, you must define the outlet boundary conditions.

In this example, an ambient pressure condition is assigned to the valve outlet.

This is the typical way to model where flow leaves the device.

Left-click the outlet surface to select it.

On the Setup tab of the ribbon, in the Boundary Conditions context panel, click Edit.

In the Boundary Conditions quick edit dialog, expand the Type drop-down and select Pressure.

Leave the Unit set to Pa, and set the Pressure to 0.

This defines a static gage pressure of 0, which simulates the flow outlet.

To verify that the boundary condition is correctly applied to the outlet valve,
