How to move and copy designs between projects and how to move a project to another hub.
Transcript
00:03
In Fusion, when you move a file or folder from one project to another,
00:08
the content is moved along with any associated comments into the new project.
00:13
The content will no longer be available in the original project.
00:17
In this example, you notice in the Data Panel that this gasket file was accidentally saved in the Test project,
00:24
but it should be in a different project folder.
00:27
Right-click the file and select Move.
00:31
In the Move to dialog, you can select the project and folder where you want the file to reside.
00:37
Depending on your login type and permission level, you will only see projects that are available to you,
00:43
and you may not be able to move files between projects.
00:47
For this example, double-click the Geneva Drive folder to select it.
00:52
Click Move to move the file into that folder.
00:57
If a file includes an externally referenced component, it is possible to lose the reference when the files are moved or copied.
01:05
You need to be careful when moving assemblies with referenced parts from project to project.
01:11
However, if you are moving or copying an assembly within the same team hub, you should be able to do so without breaking the link.
01:19
You can also move entire projects from hub to hub.
01:23
The account in this example has a personal Fusion team hub account as well as access to other team hubs.
01:30
To move a project from your personal hub to a team hub,
01:34
find the project under your personal account, and from the drop-down, select Transfer.
01:40
In the Transfer Project dialog, click Proceed, and then select a Destination Team from the drop-down list of hubs that you can access.
01:49
Click Proceed again, and click Yes to confirm.
01:53
This project is removed from your personal hub and placed into the team hub.
01:59
Be aware though that this is a one-way trip—you cannot copy a project from a team hub back to your personal hub.
02:06
Switch to the destination hub to verify the move.
