Project | Manufacture a wallet using CAM
Use your Fusion CAM skills to manufacture a minimalist wallet for credit card sized media. The design is intended for 3-axis CNC machining but can be customized for other manufacturing methods. Fusion files are available in metric and imperial units.
Module overview
Complete this project to manufacture a minimalist wallet design that is attractive and easy to use.
In the project, you'll prepare a stock setup and apply machining operations. You’ll import a tool library, create and modify 2D and 3D machining operations, and generate toolpaths needed for the manufacturing process. Finally, you’ll choose an appropriate post processor and generate numeric code.
The Fusion files, instruction, and teaching supplements are available in metric and imperial units in the Module downloads.
After completing this project, you’ll be able to:
- Create multiple setups in sequence for manufacturing.
- Import tools and modify tool settings options.
- Describe considerations for fixturing stock.
- Plan for acquiring accurate part reference zero at each progressive setup.
