From the View ribbon, Palettes panel, click Tool Palettes.
00:15
From the floating palette, drag a corner to resize the window.
00:19
To dock the palette, right click the title bar, and make sure that Allow Docking is enabled.
00:25
Drag to dock the palettes to the side of the interface.
00:28
If the docked palette takes up too much of your drawing space, you can anchor it instead.
00:34

00:40
The palettes are now anchored to the side of the interface, with only the title bar displayed.

00:50
Moving the cursor away returns the palette to the anchor position.
00:54
You can use this same auto-hide functionality for a floating palette window.
00:59
Click Auto-Hide in the title bar to return the palette to a fully visible docked position,
01:04
and then drag the palette away from the edge.
01:07
From the shortcut menu, enable Auto-hide.
01:12
As previously, the hidden palette can be expanded with the cursor.
01:16
You can also set the transparency of the palettes window in general and on rollover.
01:22
From the shortcut menu, select Transparency.
01:27
Adjust the two transparency settings, and select Click to Preview
01:31
to see what your palettes window will look like when you roll the cursor over it.
01:35
Click OK or Cancel to close the Transparency dialog.
01:40
Look through the shortcut menu to see other options to create new palettes,
01:44
rename existing palettes, and customize palettes or commands.
01:49
Also, in the palettes window, click through the tabs to see the various palettes.
01:54
Depending on the size of your window, you may not see tabs for all the palettes.
01:60
Click the bottom of the tab section to select from a list of all the available palettes.
02:05
Right-click an active tool palette and select View Options.
02:10
From here, you can adjust the size of thumbnails and the view style.
