A schedule is simply another way of displaying a building model in Revit.
00:08
Therefore, when you make changes to the model that affect items in the schedule, the schedule immediately updates, or vice versa.
00:16
To create a schedule, click Schedule/Quantities to open the New Schedule dialog.
00:22
Select the Category of elements that you want to schedule.
00:26
To help you reduce the number of categories you see,
00:28
you can expand the Filter list and select or deselect disciplines to show or hide their categories.
00:34
Once you select a category, Revit automatically fills in the Name of the schedule.
00:39
You can enter a different schedule name, if you prefer.
00:42
Next, choose Schedule building components.
00:45
Leave the Phase set to New Construction.
00:48
Click OK.
00:50
Revit then displays the Schedule Properties dialog.
00:55
Verify that the category in the Select available fields from drop-down is correct.
00:59
If not, expand the drop-down and select the correct category.
01:04
Now, select the Available fields you want to include,
01:07
and then click Add parameter(s) to place them into the Scheduled fields (in order) list.
01:12
Once you have placed all the fields into the Scheduled fields list,
01:16
the order they appear in determines their column order from left to right in the resulting schedule.
01:22
To change this order, select the field you want to move, and then click Move parameter up or Move parameter down.
01:28
When you are done, click OK.
01:31
Revit then creates the new schedule and automatically opens that view, so you can see your building project at a schedule glance.
