To create a set of construction documents for your project,
00:07
you need to first create sheets and then place one or multiple views,
00:12
such as drawings and schedules, onto those sheets.
00:16
In this example, you create the sheets.
00:19
Note that sheets can be created with or without a title block,
00:23
but it is easier to base your sheet on a title block template.
00:27
To complete this exercise, open the CreatingSheets [2024].rvt project.
00:35
To create a sheet, on the View ribbon, in the Sheet Composition panel, click Sheet.
00:42
The New Sheet dialog opens, with any title block templates already loaded into the project in the upper portion of the dialog.
00:50
If you need to load a new title block, you can click Load
00:55
and navigate to the title block you want to upload.
00:58
For this example, in the New Sheet dialog, select the D 22 x 34 Horizontal title block, and then click OK.
01:08
Revit creates a new sheet, which becomes the active view.
01:13
In this case, in the Project Browser, under the Sheets branch,
01:17
the new sheet appears with the name G002- Unnamed.
01:23
To rename it, right-click the sheet and select Rename.
01:27
In the Sheet Title dialog, change the sheet Number to A113
01:33
and the sheet Name to Elevations/Sections.
01:37
When you click OK, the information automatically updates on the title block.
01:42
You can also change your title block parameters,
01:45
either in the Properties palette under Identity Data or directly within the title block.
01:52
To do this, select the title block, and then click on the field you want to change.
01:59
After you make the change, that parameter is automatically updated in the Properties palette.
02:05
Now that you have created sheets, the next step is to place views onto those sheets.
