Create storyboards for visualization in InfraWorks

Create a storyboard animation that can be exported to video.

From the Present/Share menu, in the Present panel, select Storyboard Creator.

The Storyboard Creator opens with a range of options.

From the toolbar, click Add new storyboard.

Add any of the following:

Titles: Click Add New Title.

Enter a title name, and indicate its starting point and duration.

Explore the other title settings to add fades, text, or containers.

To play the title, click Play.

Captions: Click Add a New Caption.

Like titles, you can enter fade, text, and container settings.

Camera Path: In the Storyboard Creator toolbar,

expand the Add a new Camera Path Animation drop-down and select Add Camera Path Animation.

The Storyboard Creator displays camera path editing tools,

and creates a default camera path named Item #1, as well as a default keyframe within Item #1, named Keyframe #1.

When a keyframe is generated, fields such as name of the camera path, start time,

and transition can be edited to achieve the desired effect.

For a camera along a component road, keyframes will be generated along start to end, with the option to set the camera position.

Click Create to display the keyframes generated.

Animations: In the Storyboard Creator toolbar, expand the Add a new Zoom Animation drop-down and select Add Zoom Animation.

Select the type of animation, such as Crane, Orbit, or Recorded Walk.

Different options are available for each motion type.

When adding any of these items to your storyboard, you can click the Play icon to preview your settings.

When you are ready to export your storyboard as a video file that anyone can view,

in Storyboard Creator, click Export Current Storyboard As Video.

In the Export Storyboard dialog, specify the export details, and then click Record.
