In the Drawing workspace in Fusion,
00:06
you can use the tools in the Text group to add text and notes to sheets in a drawing as you document your design.
00:13
For example, you might add a text box for notes from another document and create several leader notes to call out specific elements.
00:21
Start with a drawing open in the Drawing workspace.
00:26
To add an area of text, from the toolbar, expand the Text menu and select Text.
00:34
Click to specify the first corner, drag the pointer to define the size, and then click again to place it.
00:42
The Text dialog opens.
00:46
If you have notes in a document, such as a Word document or a text file, you can simply copy and paste them into the text box.
00:55
To resize the text box, click and drag any of the handles.
01:01
Notice that when you make the box smaller, the text automatically wraps;
01:06
and when you drag to make it larger again, the text remains in a single text box.
01:13
A note can be edited just as you would in a simple text editor.
01:18
Highlight the text, and then use the Text dialog to adjust the style.
01:24
For example, you can format it as a list with bullet points, numbers, or letters.
01:30
You can also adjust the Font, Height, and Color of the text, add Symbols,
01:34
and incorporate various designs, according to your team or company standards.
01:40
When you are finished, click Close.
01:44
This adds a Notes tab to your drawing.
01:48
In this case, you can see that the notes are very close to the upper right corner.
01:54
To reposition the text box, select it, then click the origin point and drag it to a new location in the drawing.
02:02
To view the entire drawing, on the Navigation bar, click zoom Fit.
02:10
If you need to highlight something on your drawing, you can add a leader note to call it out.
02:16
From the toolbar, expand the Text drop-down.
02:20
Here, you can select Notes to automatically create a hole, thread, bend, or leader note, depending on the type of edge selected;
02:29
however, for this example, click Leader Note.
02:33
In the drawing, select a point on the edge of a feature to place the arrowhead, then specify the endpoint.
02:40
Enter the text and then close the Text dialog to finish the note.
02:46
The leader note is now associated with that feature.
