Tutorial
Length:
3 min.
Transcript
00:03
You can use a computer network through a wired connection (Ethernet)
00:07
or a wireless connection (WiFi) to transfer Fusion files to and from your Haas NGC machine.
00:15
Navigate to network settings on your machine.
00:18
On the controller keyboard, press SETTING.
00:22
Then, in the Cursor section of the keyboard, press the arrow keys to open the Network tab.
00:29
For wired connections, press the down arrow key to open the Wired Connection tab.
00:35
Here, review the status of the wired connection and the wired IP address of the controller.
00:42
In the table, settings with a right caret symbol (>) have preset values that you can select or review.
00:48
If the controller is using a wireless network connection,
00:52
use the arrow keys to navigate to the Wireless Connection tab.
00:56
Again, review the status of the connection and the IP address here.
01:02
For file transfer, it is necessary to configure Net Share.
01:07
Local Net Share is used to access the file system of a Haas CNC Machine
01:12
from a shop PC in order to transfer files between the CNC machine and the PC.
01:18
Use the arrow keys to navigate to the Net Share tab.
01:22
Ensure that Local Net Share is set to ON and that Local Net Share Security is set to ON.
01:29
Also ensure that Local User Name and Local Password are set.
01:34
For the Fusion Machine Connect Haas Ethernet connection protocol,
01:38
you must locate the value of setting number 143.
01:42
Setting 143 both enables the feature and specifies the data port that the control uses to communicate.
01:49
Use the arrow keys to navigate back to the Settings tab.
01:54
Then, using the number keys, enter the value 143.
01:60
Press ENTER on the keyboard, and then press F1.
02:05
The Machine Data Collection Port value displays.
02:08
When this setting has a non-zero value,
02:11
it defines the network port that the control uses to send machine data collection information.
02:17
If this setting has a value of zero,
02:20
the control does not send machine data collection information.
02:24
In this example, the value is 5051.
02:29
Navigating network connections on your Haas NGC machine
02:33
ensures efficient file transfer for seamless operations between your machine and PC.
