To prepare for creating precast assemblies, the first step is to configure the settings for precast walls, slabs, and built-in parts.

From the File ribbon, click Open > Project.

Navigate to the desired RVT file and then open it.

To open the Configuration dialog, from the Precast ribbon, Configuration panel, click Configuration.

Note that a warning dialog may appear if precast-dependent families are not loaded in the project.
