Upload and manage source files

Within Autodesk Tandem, assets and spaces are hosted by source models.

You can upload and manage these models from the Source Files panel of your facility.

Open the facility to which you want to add files, then click the Files tab.

In the Source Files panel, if there are no models in your facility yet, click Add Models.

Otherwise, click Import Model.

From the Import Model dialog, you can upload Revit or IFC models directly from your local drive,

or you can connect to your Autodesk Docs account to source models stored there.

To upload a model from your local drive, enter a Label,

then drag and drop the file into the File area of the dialog.

Alternatively, you can click in the File area to browse for your models.

If you do not want the model to be visible during the initial load of the facility,

deselect Visible in default view.

You can change this option at any time in the Source Files panel.

If your model has multiple phases, select the desired Phase, and then click Import.

To upload models from Autodesk Docs, in the Import Model dialog,

click the Autodesk Docs tab.

Tandem uses your Autodesk ID to connect to the accounts and projects that you have access to.

Select the appropriate account and project, then navigate through the project folders to select your models.

Again, select the desired Phase, if needed, and then click Import.

Files added from your local drive or Autodesk Docs now appear in the Source Files panel.

Here, you can toggle the default load state of each model.

Click the Show or Hide visibility icon to change the default to on or off.

You can also click More actions next to any model to Update to the latest version,

relink a model, or Delete the model, if needed.

parameters can be mapped from these source models into asset parameters that are managed within Tandem.
