Type:
Tutorial
Length:
2 min.
Transcript
00:03
With the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS, you can add ArcGIS data sources into your InfraWorks model, and then manage them.
00:13
Begin with InfraWorks open to the appropriate design project.
00:17
Then, from the Manage ribbon, Content panel, select Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS.
00:25
The Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS opens.
00:29
This uses your ESRI ArcGIS login information to connect InfraWorks to your ArcGIS data.
00:36
The Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS displays your current model extents by default.
00:42
Here, you can zoom into an area of interest and browse available datasets.
00:48
With these datasets, you can add ArcGIS data layers to your InfraWorks models as features.
00:55
From the datasets panel, open the My Content tab.
00:59
Select a dataset to import.
01:02
The layers associated with the dataset display.
01:06
Layers are logical collections of geographic data used to create maps and scenes.
01:12
They are also the basis for geographic analysis.
01:16
In this example, the Pipe and Structure layers are chosen.
01:21
With the layers you wish to import selected, toggle ON their visibility.
01:26
Next, expand the drop-down for each layer.
01:30
Specify a feature type for each layer.
01:32
Here, Pipelines and Pipeline Connectors are chosen.
01:37
The ArcGIS data layer is generated as model objects in InfraWorks using the feature types that you selected.
01:46
Click Add to my design project.
01:49
The interface redirects back to InfraWorks.
01:53
There, a loading dialog displays, reporting the progress as the configured data sources are added to the model.
02:01
Use the Autodesk Connector for ESRI ArcGIS to bring ArcGIS datasets into your InfraWorks models,
02:09
save back edited content, and publish and export InfraWorks data for use in ArcGIS.
