Your Ideas from the Fusion IdeaStation

We have received 8 new ideas in the past week. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions!

Sketch improvements

New accepted idea to address horizontal/vertical constraints

Product team – “Our next update will address the Horizontal/Vertical confusion…The sketch grid shows x in red and y in green so knowing what is hor/vert will be easier… We combined the hor/vert constraint into one and when you apply the constraint, it assumes the closest solution is the most likely you want. This takes all the guessing out. We also added a new default behavior that rotates the camera to look at the sketch ( you can turn this off if you like). Looking at the sketch aligns the x and y to be clearer as well.”

Better feature system for DM environment

Idea under future consideration to allow one to build all parts first – do an assembly, then have the ability to move back and forth in the timeline.

Product team – “We are realizing that these more conceptual workflows and techniques are not explained well enough in the help and tutorials. The team is working to beef up that material.”

Ability to import files when you’re offline

New idea to allow you to import files to Fusion when you’re offline and later when you have internet connection it syncs with your account as it is currently.

Product team – “Would it be OK to have a limited set of offline import options? STEP or maybe SAT? As to upload speed… we are working on that too.”
