I think it goes without saying that each and every software company wants their products to operate flawlessly at all times. The unfortunate thing –and I hope it’s something that everyone reading this can recognize— is that achieving perfection is extremely difficult if not impossible.  There are just far too many uncontrollable factors related to hardware, software, operating system, language, and so on.

With that realization, Fusion 360 has built in and automatic recovery options to ensure that in the event a crash occurs, lost work is minimized. In the following video, I’ll show you where and how to access recovered documents, and how to edit the frequency that these backups are made:

As noted in the video, my personal experiences with recovered documents in Fusion 360 has been strikingly better than what I’ve experienced with this type of feature in other software.  I can’t help but think the cloud infrastructure helps immensely with this sort of thing.

Anyway, I hope that helps you out of a future bind. In the meantime, we’ll continue to strive for perfection…even if futile.
