Xometry recently announced version 2.0 of the Xometry App for Fusion 360. Design for manufacture is now easier than ever before.
Earlier this year, we announced the Xometry App for Fusion 360. The app gives you an instant price and lead time from Xometry without leaving the Fusion 360 platform. It’s a real game-changer for all designers and engineers hoping to know what costs to expect before manufacturing a part.
What’s New for the Xometry App for Fusion 360
Now, there’s a new version of the app in town, and as you can imagine, it’s even better than before. The updated app features instant manufacturability feedback and multiple-part upload capabilities. It also still includes the original features that made it so successful: instant pricing and lead-time estimates.
Instant manufacturability feedback provides information on part manufacturability while you’re working in Fusion 360. Now that you can upload multiple parts at once and receive real-time feedback on all of them at the same time, you can truly fast-track product iterations.
“Autodesk Fusion 360 connects and streamlines workflows across the entire product development process,” says Stephen Hooper, Autodesk Vice President and General Manager, Fusion 360. “Providing our customers real-time insights through the Xometry app about the cost and feasibility of manufacturing a part, at the very moment they’re designing that part, is a huge step toward saving time that might otherwise be lost developing a flawed, unworkable, or unaffordable design.”
How to Download the App
Not only does the Xometry App for Fusion 360 save you time and money with parts, but it’s also completely free to download and use. Additionally, Xometry offers a 10% discount on custom parts ordered through the app. Simply head to the Fusion 360 App Store to give it a try, and let us know what you think in the comments.
