Hey, folks! The Fusion team is celebrating the holidays, and we want you to share in the fun! For those of you I haven’t met yet, my name is Tanner, and I’m the new East-Coast Tech Evangelist on the Fusion 360 team. I’m excited to get to work with you on your projects in the near future, but for now, we need your help on this holiday project.
For me, the BEST part of Christmas is the breakfast casserole. At my house, once a year, we bake a glorious concoction of sausage, cheese, bacon, butter, egg, and flaky-layer biscuit that is the PINNACLE of human achievement – and that’s no exaggeration. Did I mention the butter? Ohhhhh, the BUTTER.
But I digress.
The SECOND best part of Christmas is making your own ornaments and putting them on the tree with the family. That’s what we’re doing with Fusion 360. We’re going to make a stunning, funny, awesome, gorgeous, crazy, and GLORIOUS Christmas tree, and put it up on the gallery.
We need ornaments! Just hashtag #DIYornament, post your models to our gallery and throw them on GrabCAD. We’ll add the best to the Fusion 360 community tree!
As always, feel free to inspire others by sharing your work in other places like our Fusion Gallery, Instructables and/or Youtube.
I’ve added a few glass ball ornaments (below) to the gallery, as well as GrabCAD to help get the juices flowing – just fill with anything you’d like, like a train set, nut cracker scene, etc.– or start from scratch! Taylor, for instance, used Fusion 360 to make these crazy-cool Mockingjay ornaments above, which you can check out on the gallery or GrabCAD. I’ll be making my ornament this week as well, and am excited to see what y’all come up with! Let’s deck this tree out!
For a little more inspiration, check out a few of the Instructables ideas here.
Happy CADing, and I look forward to getting to know y’all better soon!
I’ve been a hard-core maker since 1995.
