Over the past 3 months we’ve achieved some huge milestones at Autodesk. We’re passionate about the next generation of innovators and remain committed to our community of educators and students. Let’s look back at where we started, where we’re at, and where we’re headed.
Eleven years ago, Autodesk was the first to pioneer cloud-CAD with the introduction of Tinkercad – a powerful tool that fosters the foundational skills of 3D design, electronics, and coding.
Over the years, we’ve helped introduce millions of people to the world of design and make, and help to support a vibrant community of teachers, children K-12, college students, hobbyists, designers, and engineers.
Today we’re excited to announce that we have over 50 million Tinkercad users, 5 million Fusion 360 education users, and are approaching 1 million teachers. We also continue to see rapid growth in this community, adding over 10 million users each year.
As the world becomes increasingly digital, having exposure to design and collaboration tools becomes more and more important. Empowering educators to prepare their students for the jobs of the future is critical. That’s why Autodesk remains committed to this community and will continue to push the boundaries of professional grade cloud-CAD.
The importance of Cloud
Now more than ever, cloud technology is helping students, educators, and professionals weather the ongoing effects caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
With cloud technology, digital collaboration is easily achieved. Teams are able to share, review, and manage projects, regardless of location and on any device. Connected data and access to real-time feedback and insights are at the forefront.
Autodesk Fusion 360: Professional-grade cloud CAD/CAM for all
Since entering the market, Autodesk has understood the importance of getting tools in front of students that fosters innovation and opens the door to career opportunities.
When students are ready to level up – enter Fusion 360. Autodesk Fusion 360 is the first professional-grade cloud development platform. It integrates CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB for product design and manufacturing.
Thanks to our robust cloud software offerings — from Tinkercad to Fusion 360 — Autodesk is ready for the future.
