Autodesk Fusion 360 provides a variety of licenses to best suit your design and make goals, whether it be for design, machining, electronics, 3D printing, or all of the above. Learn about the various offers and what solution best suits your needs.
Fusion 360 licenses
Fusion 360 has five different types of offerings, which include:
- 30-day free trial
- Commercial subscription
- Startup
- Personal
- Education
All of these offerings have the same user interface, but they all have unique terms and benefits.
30-day trial
With a 30-day trial, you get free access to all the features and functionality the integrated cloud CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB software has to offer.
During the trial period, you also have access to try the various Fusion 360 extensions. These extensions unlock advanced capabilities and range from additive manufacturing and generative design to advanced machining toolpaths and efficient nesting for sheet metal parts.
Fusion 360 – Complete commercial edition
With a subscription, you’ll get access to professional-grade cloud-based design, engineering, electronics, and machining software that is trusted by over 1.2 million customers.
In addition to a base subscription, extensions are available if you’re looking for advanced capabilities or enhanced workflows. Extension
Extensions are still available to those users who require advanced capabilities or enhanced workflows. They allow you to customize your Fusion 360 platform with the exact tools you need to align with your project timelines, budget, and needs.
Fusion 360 for startups
The free startup offering allows qualifying new companies to evolve, refine, and showcase their products in order to get to market smoother and faster. In order to qualify, you must be a venture, angel-backed, or bootstrapped company that is less than three years old and generates an annual gross revenue of less than $100,000 USD.
Fusion 360 – Limited personal edition
Fusion 360 for personal use is for hobbyists or any non-commercial user and includes full design, 3D modeling, and 3D printing functionality but is limited in all other areas. Personal users also do not have access to Fusion 360 extensions.
Fusion 360 for education
The educational offering is a fully functional version of the software that will allow you to learn with minimum restrictions.
In order to successfully obtain this license, you’ll need to verify that you’re a student, educator, or design competition mentor. With this offering, you’re also able to try most of the Fusion 360 extensions.
