What did the developer say after he fixed bugs introduced by a clown?

“Whoa, that was some funny coding”.

Version 2.0.2455

We fixed 5 bugs this time around, here are the deets.

Service issue fixed: There was an issue reported by HughesTooling where when he launched Fusion 360, he was thrown into offline mode, even though he was clearly online and posting to the forum. After some investigation, we saw this could be affecting many others in the Fusion community, so much so that we modified our Health Dashboard to show what was happening and posted a workaround. Everything is now up and running at 100%.

Crash issue fixed: A lot of you have sent crash error reports (CERs) related to a crash that happened when you performed an action right after the timeline bubble (which introduced you to the timeline for the first time) disappeared. This bubble only appears for new users with new Fusion accounts. Apparently some clown bugs crawled into our code and thought it’d be funny to rearrange a bunch of stuff. We got this fixed and made sure they won’t come back again.

CAM stability improved: There’s an ongoing thread around CAM stability issues. Crashes would happen off and on, sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row, and sometimes not for awhile. The team went through all the CERs, and traced the issue back to some wonky code. We got these fixed and you should immediately notice improved stability in the CAM workspace. Thanks to all of you who reported your issues, we take them very seriously!

Fixed: wojtek.obloza reported an issue where when he went into the Sculpt environment, the solid body of the T-Spline body would be overlaid on top of the T-Spline body, Oh and it gets worse – when he went to hide visibility of the solid body, it remained visible. This is fixed!

Fixed: We’ve been getting CERs related to how when you’re editing a mesh body, hitting the left mouse button and the “T” key to invoke the Trim Sketch command a bunch of times will crash Fusion. This is fixed too!

Shout out to Mitani Hiroaki for helping us translate the last 2 fixes into Japanese for our Japanese users! Mitani is the author of a Fusion 360 handbook and runs the Fusion 360 Base website (he’s the guy on the left), which is an awesome resource for Japanese users. If you speak Japanese or are curious on what other people are talking about, go check it out. Arigato Gozaimasu!

That’s it for this one! Look forward to the next one, which is going to be huuuuuge. No really. Huge.
