Designing Laser Cut Joinery in Fusion 360
3D-design for 2D-prototyping can sometimes be a beast to tackle. Here, we make that process easier by designing with layered laser-cut parts that allow for some more creative and dimensional approaches to what would normally be traditional woodworking joinery.

Your Ideas from the Fusion 360 IdeaStation
We take your suggestions very seriously as they help to shape Fusion 360, so please share your ideas and vote for new features / enhancements you would like to see. Here are a few from this week.
Maintain References to Multiple Mechanical States for Design
Being able to quickly snap to the various mechanical states is critical in designing parts.
Make Patch/Model Commands Appear in Toolbox – No Matter of Mode
I would love while in the model space to be able to call the surface stitch command and apply that to the selected surfaces to turn it into a solid.
Add and Enhance Rest Machining to All Operations
Please make Fusion 360 support rest machining on all operations.
Have a story to share? We would love to hear more about you and how you’re using Fusion 360! Shoot me an email at Shannon.McGarry@autodesk.com.
