1. Improved Sketching Behavior

Soon, when you start a sketch, you’ll notice that the camera will automatically rotate to the orthographic view that you’ve selected. Once you’ve completed your sketch and decide to Stop Sketch, the camera will again automatically rotate to the default 3D view, ready for you to take the sketch to the next step.

2. Better visual cues

Component color cycling will not only assign different colors to individual components in the modeling space, it will also carry throughout the item browser on the left side, as well as the timeline, allowing you to better identify which commands are associated with which component.

3. Boosting productivity with multi-views

While designing in Fusion 360, you will have the ability go from a single view of the model to 4 different views, all updating simultaneously in real time. This will be very useful when you are making edits to your model and need to see how it is affecting other areas of your design. For those of you who have a large monitor will also find it more productive, since you won’t have to rotate the model back and forth.

4. Timeline enhancements

Based on one of your suggestions posted in the IdeaStation, we’ve added the ability to delete features created after the history marker in the timeline. Yes, this is a small feature, but definitely a useful one! Thanks again sanguish for the suggestion!

5. Better workflow consistency

And finally, as an on-going effort of creating a hollistic and consistent user experience, we’ve combined the CAM environment as part of the Fusion 360 workspace. We’re also introducing Fusion 360 Animations as a new workspace, where you’ll be able to explode your designs and bring it together, part by part, and produce an interactive animation. With that said, Fusion 360 Animations will only be available in Fusion 360 Ultimate, and not the base version of Fusion 360. You will no longer need to open multiple tabs for multiple workspaces; everything can be accessed through the workspace in one design environment. All that will change are the various tools used in the toolbar respective to the workspace you’re in. If you’d like to know more about Fusion 360 Ultimate, check out this post here

That’s it for now, stay tuned for a more detailed update coming soon!

Cheers,
