The other day I was taught something I probably should have figured out on my own months ago. With today’s QUICK TIP, I wanted to pass along what I learned, and why you should care. This has to do with post-processing simulation results, and specifically, those overly blue plots that I’m all too familiar with….
This is often the case with stress results, and it is exacerbated by load concentrations or singularities. In the QUICK TIP shown below, I’ll cover some methods I’ve been using to try to better visualize/filter these, then show you the BEST solution: something that has been under my nose this…ENTIRE…TIME!
I hope all three of those methods help in some way, shape, or form, but I know which one I’ll be using most of the time! Thanks for showing me this, Bryce.
Cheers!
