QUICK TIP: Flatten Sculpted Faces

During the sculpt webinar recently I had a great question on how to flatten a sculpted surface. Many times you want to do this after ironing out the general shape of a new design. For instance, I needed a flat surface on my latest design so it can rest safely between use or while heating/cooling. Take a look at how I was able to do this:

As you can see, creasing the intended surfaces did a great job of this, but don’t forget to use the actual flatten tool in conjunction with crease to gain more control over the orientation of the flattened surface.

Hope that helps! I’m going to invest in some wrinkle free cloths in the meantime, because something tells me my manager is irked by my wrinkled cloths….
