Congratulations to Shinsuke Miyazki and his Grumman F4F/FM-2 Wildcat model – winner of the model of the month for October. Learn more about Shinsuke, his use of Fusion 360 and his design.
Hi everyone! My name is Shinsuke Miyazaki and I am from Nagasaki, Japan. I currently work as a 3D Graphics Designer at a gaming company.
In my spare time, I enjoy designing and making things. Over the past few years, I have become particularly interested in creating plastic models from scratch which lead me on a search for a CAD tool that I could use for my projects.
After testing numerous software packages, my brother introduced me to Fusion 360. I love how simple it is to use, the integrated CAM functionality, 3D printer outputs, and rendering capabilities.
It was my love for airplanes that inspired me to model the Grumman Wildcat. I plan to bring this model to life by 3D printing and machining its parts, and I plan to submit it to the garage kit exhibition (ex. The Wonder Festival).
In the future, I plan to model additional plane models. I’m also interested in modeling animal skeletons similar to what is show on the following site – http://ctseibutsu.jp/.
Thank you for featuring my model and I look forward to sharing more of my creations.
