The days are getting shorter and the nights a bit cooler. As I write this, I know summer is officially over, and fall is off to a great start. There is another season just around the corner, and for myself and many of my Autodesk colleagues and our customers, this is Autodesk University season. It is time to start buckling down and gearing up to create awesome content to present in front of hundreds of our closest Autodesk friends and family. For those attending AU 2019, it’s also time to start picking out the best classes to fill your schedule.
I am sure many of you reading this are hearing about Generative Design on a regular basis. We are excited about how generative design in Fusion 360 can help our customers rethink the way they bring products to market and solve engineering problems in innovative ways.
To help you get the most out of generative design in Fusion 360, we have packed the AU 2019 class list with a ton of great classes. Over the course of 3 days, we will be offering 26 different, generative design focused classes, some taught by the best and brightest in Autodesk and some taught by our most successful customers.
To see all of the classes, click here.
While all of these classes are going to be great, I would like to point out some of the more unique offerings I encourage everyone to check out.
To kick things off on Tuesday, myself and my partner in crime, Brian Frank, will be talking about the future of generative design in Fusion 360 in MFG320845 – The Future of Autodesk’s Generative Design in Fusion 360. We have made a ton of progress in the product so far, and what the future holds looks even better. We can’t wait to see you all in this one!
There is no better way to learn about generative design in Fusion 360 than by sitting down and taking it for a test drive yourself. We have 3 great labs lined up to get you up to speed.
- TR323048-L – Fusion 360 Introduction to Generative Design
- MFG319989-L – Hands-on with the Newest Features of Generative Design in Fusion360
- IM320822-L – Getting Started with Generative Design for Inventor Users
We know that sometimes the best way to learn is to see how others do similar work. We have gathered up a group of customers using generative design in Fusion 360 to share their stories. Be sure to check out our customer-led track, The Generative Design Journey – By Our Users for Our Users.
For our Inventor users, we have two unique offerings just for you, focused on helping you get the most out of combining generative design in Fusion 360 with your current Inventor workflows.
- IM320822-L – Getting Started with Generative Design for Inventor Users
- AFW341381 – Inventor and Fusion 360 Workflows: Generative Design and Interoperability
Last but not least, and probably the most unique session of all, Kenny Cornett (Fusion 360 GD Expert Elite) will be leading a half day long Generative Design Bootcamp. MFG331809-L – Generative Design Boot Camp for Product Design and Manufacturing will be an intensive session on all aspects of taking a generatively designed part to a manufactured part. Kenny will be covering how to develop the problem definition, identifying performance criteria, setting up the studies and exploring outcomes and ultimately creating tools paths for manufacturing the design. There will also be an invite only meetup for the attendees to see how to manufacture these generatively designed parts. Attending this bootcamp will also earn you a Generative Design Credential.
The Generative Design team is thrilled about the session offerings we have been able to put together for Autodesk University 2019. We can’t wait to see you there!
