Elevate your design and manufacturing processes with Autodesk Fusion
IMTS 2022 is back, bigger than ever before, and — drum roll — in person again for the first time in four years! Join us in Chicago at McCormick Place Convention Center September 12-17 for tons of Autodesk Fusion 360 presentations, projects, and events. This is your chance to reconnect with peers, make new connections, hear directly from industry leaders, chat with the Autodesk team, and explore Fusion 360 manufacturing solutions.
With over one million square feet of exhibitor space to explore, we know planning your schedule is an overwhelming process. The good news? There’s only one booth name, number, and location you need to memorize: Autodesk Booth #133310, located at Lakeside Center on Level 3.
All jokes aside, here’s a list of six Fusion 360-related events you won’t want to miss at the event — from industry talks to cool projects on display.
1. Stephen Hooper’s Main Stage keynote presentation
The global disruption to the manufacturing industry has forced us to rapidly adjust to new ways of working, disrupted supply chains, and sudden shifts in consumer demand. But it has also created an opportunity to reimagine what’s possible. In this keynote presentation, Stephen Hooper, Vice President of Product Development and Manufacturing Solutions at Autodesk, will share strategies for taking advantage of these opportunities for innovation and digital transformation. He will showcase evolving tools and technologies that can help manufacturers build resilience, improve collaboration, and automate processes, enabling them to thrive through the dramatic changes faced by our industry.
When: Tuesday, Sept 13 from 9:30-10:00 AM CST.
Where: The IMTS Main Stage outside of the South Hall. Those who can’t attend IMTS can watch Stephen’s talk live on IMTS+ and on-demand after the event on the same platform.
2. 46 Autodesk presentations over 5 days
That’s right, our team will be on-site delivering tons of Fusion 360-specific presentations to you throughout the course of the tradeshow. Topics range, but a few standouts highlight new features in Fusion 360 and where Autodesk is headed. A couple of examples are: “What is the Autodesk Manufacturing Roadmap?” and “Fusion 360 Strategic Investments,” No registration is necessary for any of our theater presentations — simply show up and learn.

Where: Autodesk Booth #133310
3. Haas and Mazak add-ins
Just in time for the largest machine tool conference, we are excited to debut two add-ins we’ve developed with machine tool partners Haas and Mazak. These new add-ins enable our customers to have an instant-on experience when pairing Fusion 360 with their machines.
1. Haas Driver
This add-in automatically finds all Haas Milling machines with an NGC Controller in your shop and enables users to quickly build a Fusion 360 machine library that matches your machines. The Haas Driver eliminates the need to maintain a post-processor library. Simply add the machine you want to use to your Fusion 360 setup and send the NC code directly to the machine using the Haas Driver. It’s as easy as sending a document to a printer.
2. Mazak iConnect
This add-in allows your CAM programmer to export Fusion 360 project files directly to Mazak’s Smooth Project Manager (SPM), enabling machine operators to more accurately simulate cut files and check for errors while calculating machining time. Mazak iConnect also establishes a direct connection to any Mazak machine to see whether a machine is running, idle, or offline, allowing your CAM programmer and machine operator to work in unison.
When: Check out both add-ins in action throughout the entire event.
Where: Autodesk Booth #133310
4. Kalitta Motorsports engine
Make sure to stop by our booth to meet our team and check out some epic projects designed and manufactured with Fusion 360. We’ll have a Kalitta Motorsports Engine on display in our booth and during our theater presentation. Check out the video above to see it in action. We’ll also be showing off a BAC Mono rim, MJK Automation triple clamps, a Lightning Motors swing arm, and more.
Where: Autodesk Booth #133310
5. Autodesk and Haas Student Summit Booth
Join Autodesk and Haas for The Manufacturing Experience — a live, educational tour of practical manufacturing — for a part-modeling, programming, machining, and automation demonstration. Gain valuable insight into a process that integrates all of these technologies. If you want to experience the Haas Driver mentioned above, our Student Summit booth with Haas is also a great place to meet our team and check out a full tutorial.
When: Monday, September 12 through Friday, September 16
Where: Register and learn more here.
6. Autodesk Conference Sessions
In addition to all the great talks we’ve outlined above, we’ll also be hosting two conference sessions in the West Hall:
- Realizing Carbon Balanced Production through Quality Control
PEMBREE uses Fusion 360 to realize the manufacturing process, from design concepts to CAM programming and machine simulation. In this talk, we will cover how PEMBREE has used integrated metrology within Fusion 360 to keep tight process control.
Wednesday, September 14, from 11:00am – 11:55am CST at W192-B - Accessible Hybrid Manufacturing with Autodesk Fusion 360 and Phillips Corp
This joint talk with Meltio will showcase a recent collaboration between Autodesk and Phillips Corp. to develop a combination of accessible hardware and software solutions for hybrid manufacturing. Utilizing the Haas machine platform, Directed Energy Deposition technology from Meltio, and integrated CAD-CAM with Autodesk Fusion 360, this collaboration demonstrates how hybrid technology is now ready for the machine shop and how you can reap the benefits today.
Thursday, September 15, from 2:15pm – 3:10pm CST at W192-A
