In this week’s QUICK TIP, I spend time exploring some of the unique ways that you can leverage history –specifically in the assembly context– when making your designs.
As mentioned, having joints and model movements in the design history will not only help avoid those broken external references (that are all too common in traditional CAD systems), but it can even help you design! If you’ve already watched it, I hope you noted the auxiliary QUICK TIP in there: “paste new”. This functionality probably deserves its own video at some point, because the ability to create independent copies of components is extremely powerful.
Happy Holidays and New Year!
