I know I know, not another drawing quick tip. However, this Quick Tip is going to turn your boring drawings into a stunning manufacturing drawing that any engineer would want to read. First, start detailing your designs with the section view tool. Not only can we produce straight sections, but Fusion 360 can produce jogged and aligned section views (shown below).

But that’s not the end of the section view tips. You can create child views (i.e. projected views) off the section views to illustrate your sectioned design in different orientations. Take the section view tool to the NEXT LEVEL with objects to cut. This option will omit the un-selected bodies from the section view. Make sure to watch this week’s Quick Tip to get all the details on how to make your drawings stand out.
