The Autodesk^® DACH Extension provides a suite of tools to work with common German standards such as REB & OKSTRA, Country/directive standards checks, roadway edges and flare design, ellipsoidal road dividers, lane widening, bus bays, embankment slope, legend manager, reports and other utilities.

As you prepare to install this extension, keep the following in mind:

Back Up Custom Files

It is recommended that you back up all custom CUIX, MNR, and MNL files before you apply this extension.

Administrative Privileges

During installation or uninstallation, you may be prompted for the original installation media or a network image. In order to apply this extension, you must have privileges to install and uninstall products.

Network Deployment

Administrators can deploy this extension over a network using the Deployment Wizard.

Close the Application

It is required that you close Autodesk^® AutoCAD^® Civil 3D^® 2017 before proceeding with the installation of this extension.

Reboot

After you install, it is recommended to reboot your system even if not prompted.

About Your Product

After you install, product information is displayed in the About dialog box.

Follow these instructions to install this extension on a single computer.

1. Download the extension and save it to any folder.
2. Close all running Autodesk applications.
3. Find the folder where you saved the extension and double-click the executable (.msi) file.

3. Find the shared folder where you saved the extension, and double-click the executable (.msi) file.

The following method of distributing the Autodesk^® DACH Extension for AutoCAD^® Civil 3D^® 2017 applies only to administrative images created with the Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 Network Installation wizard. After you complete this procedure, any new deployments of Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 will have the extension applied to them automatically. For complete information on creating and updating a Network Administrative Image please see the Autodesk Installation Administrator's Guide.

To apply the DACH Extension for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 to an existing Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 administrative image:

1. Download this extension and save it to any shared folder on your local network.
2. Close all running Autodesk applications.
3. On the workstation where you initially created the Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 deployment, open the Tools folder and double-click the Create & Modify a deployment shortcut icon.
4. Follow the wizard to the product configuration screen and expand the Include additional software accordion.
5. In the Additional Software section, click Add and browse to the location you saved the extension.
6. Collapse the Include additional software accordion and click the Create button.

Now any new deployments of Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 will have the extension applied to them automatically.

This extension can be uninstalled through the Program and Features section of the Microsoft® Windows® Control Panel.

Follow these instructions to uninstall this extension on a single computer.

1. Insert the product media (for example, the Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D installation disc) or make sure the installation source files are available.
2. In Windows Control Panel > Program and Features, click on the Autodesk DACH Extension 2017 and choose the Uninstall option.
3. In the Autodesk DACH Extension 2017 maintenance dialog box click Yes to confirm that you want to uninstall the extension.
