$15 Million Pipeline Redesign with ESI

$15 Million Pipeline Redesign with ESI

Customer challenge

ESI (Environmental Solutions & Innovations) is an environmental consulting firm founded in 1966. They provide a broad range of services and solutions to clients, with complex problems and a primary focus on natural resources. ESI prides themselves on their scientific accuracy, accountability and exceptional services. To meet demanding and exacting industry standards, Case Technologies was called in to consult on the largest pipeline project ESI has ever seen.

Project goals

The main goal of the Pipeline Redesign for ESI project was to analyze, redesign, and implement erosion control and environmental protection requirements for a 55-mile-long oil and gas transmission pipeline in the timeframe that was given.

Solution

Case was able to help integrate Autodesk Civil 3D to use on the redesign. ESI needed to better understand and utilize the capabilities that Civil 3D had to offer. No other platform out there would be able to handle the redesign of this project. ESI was able to maintain consistent data and respond to changes efficiently throughout the course of this project.

Business outcome

ESI was successfully able complete the redesign of a 15-million-dollar pipeline with the use of Civil 3D along with the support of our engineering consulting team. Saving time and money meeting the scope of a project much larger than the company was use to completing was the main goal. ESI is now able to integrate the Civil 3D process into its daily workflows.

Conclusion

ESI was able to complete their largest pipeline project of all time all while the project was being heavily regulated by the Department of Environmental Protection. Case Technologies has since been contracted out to consult on many projects since the completion of the pipeline in March. We plan to unite and work together now and into the future.
