Success Story
Encompass Tiba Latin America S.A. is a provider of satellite, telecommunications and comprehensive content management services for television signals. Established for more than a decade in Buenos Aires, the company offers multiple services for video transmission, including management, distribution and content collection.
With the rapid growth of the Latin American market, driven by the demand for pay TV, the increase in channels and the conversion from SD to HD, they saw the need to incorporate tools for the correct and rapid installation of satellite transmission antennas, to supply that growing demand.
Encompass had the need to design, carry out the electrical planning and installation of the architectural structures of its antennas. They were using Autodesk Inventor (but not being a manufacturing company made it difficult for them to start up and plan). Therefore, they saw the need to replace this software with Autodesk Revit, also incorporating Autocad 2D and 3D and Autocad Electrical, since these software resolved their needs more efficiently.
After analyzing their requirements, Cadsyst chose to propose the acquisition of the Autodesk AEC collection, with which they could use several of their programs, both for planning, installation and commissioning of their satellite antennas.
The project consisted of the sale and advice on the capabilities of the Autodesk AEC collection, for its following tasks:
The solution was the replacement of Autodesk Inventor with Autodesk Revit thanks to the acquisition of the Autodesk AEC collection licenses. Being able to also incorporate other software that was included in the collection such as Autodesk Autocad 2D, 3D and electrical.
To reach this solution, prior meetings were held to understand Encompass's needs and requirements.
The designers, engineers and architects of the company, located in Buenos Aires, were advised. During the various conversations and exhibitions, Cadsyst showed the virtues of the different programs offered by the software collection and their main functions, focusing on their design needs.
The duration of the talks spanned weeks. With post-sales technical support and follow-up sessions we ensure the correct use of the software. An exchange of technical queries was maintained between the technicians and the users during the months after the acquisition, in case of any questions they had about the different programs.
The results immediately benefited Encompass. The designers and architects adopted the programs they needed from the collection one by one. While they didn't use all the apps the collection offered, they were able to make the most of what they needed for new projects underway.
The acquisition of Autodesk AEC was very beneficial for Encompass, since through the software they were able to renew their drawing and construction tools to be able to implement them in their projects. Among these tools, Cadsyst can highlight the analysis and visualization of site surfaces, as well as the manufacturing of metal structures, used mainly for satellite antenna installations.

Customer industry
Nastran In-CAD Implementation Project - SICA
SICA METALÚRGICA ARGENTINA S.A. is a company specialized in the design and manufacture of pressure vessels for the Oil, Gas and Chemical industry. Their need was the implementation of a simulation solution for product engineering that could optimize and predict the behavior of designs and/or products in a fast, precise and flexible way before manufacturing them. They chose to incorporate Autodesk Nastran In-CAD, since it supports finite element analysis (FEA) and allows the evaluation of thermal and mechanical behaviors in linear and non-linear materials.
Fusion 360 Implementation Project - Pulpak
Pulpak is a company dedicated to providing a comprehensive solution to the problem of industrial waste. The Company offers an attractive portfolio of ecologically friendly packaging products including solutions that enable the end consumer to dispose of the packaging without causing environmental damage, being this product is 100% recyclable and biodegradable. The Company operates in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego (Argentina) where its industrial plant is located and in the City of Buenos Aires with a commercial and administration team. The need was the implementation of a solution for product engineering that could produce packaging and protective packaging materials for other items: televisions, computers, microwaves, refrigerators, etc. in 3D and develop from 2D plans. Autodesk Fusion 360 was the right solution as it combines parametric, direct and mesh modeling tools. It is also completely cloud-based, promoting collaboration for remote teams.
Autodesk Inventor Professional Training Project – ETC S.A.
ETC S.A. is an Argentine company with vast experience in the manufacturing of expanded metal and perforated sheet metal. They have the technology to process a wide range of gauges of various materials, covering all lines in both expanded metals and perforated sheets.ETC had the need to be able to incorporate a tool that would allow them to see, create, analyze and document their designs of folded and perforated sheets, electro welded meshes, finishing profiles, metal floors and stairs and perimeter closures in 3D and not only in 2D. They chose to incorporate Autodesk Inventor Professional, for its powerful integrated tools for sheet metal and structure design and the ease in viewing, creating and documenting their 3D designs.
