Success Story
Craft Pattern & Mold is an industry leading manufacturer of prototype plastic and metal parts, as well as production tooling, for a variety of commercial and industrial applications. They have been delivering cost effective, precision prototype casting, machining, and tooling solutions to customers for over 40 years. With a solidified footprint, they provide both metal and plastic prototyping for the Agriculture, Construction, Aerospace, Automotive, and Powersport industries.
With a younger crew coming into play at Craft Pattern, they knew bringing them up to speed in an experience required machining platform was not advantageous. They instead wanted a solution that could cut down on cost, eliminate training time constraints, and allow both their CAD and CAM teams to work collectively toward the common goal. This is when NexGenSolutions offered Craft Pattern Autodesk Fusion 360 as a perfect fit.
By implementing Autodesk Fusion 360, they had the ability to cut down software overhead costs significantly due to Autodesk Fusion being highly more cost effective than other systems in the space. They now can have both their CAD and CAM systems running on the same platform. They have spent the necessary time to build out their tool libraries within Autodesk Fusion 360 which lets them keep organized, efficiency, and inventory at top priority.
Along with lowering software costs and increasing their efficiencies, Autodesk Fusion 360 continues to be a value add in the form of accurate quoting of projects. Craft Pattern & Mold now can have their quoting teams leverage Autodesk Fusion to effectively determine material usages and job times which helps them supply accurate quotations to their customers. NexGenSolutions worked with Craft Pattern & Mold to update, tweak, and implement their machine post processors which had drastically streamlined their programming process. They can now easily turn off and on features within a post in order to create the perfect toolpaths.
Autodesk Fusion 360 decreased their Overhead and Programming Times Significantly!!

Rapidly Increase R&D and Production
In business since 1994, Aimpro Tactical grew up with traditional CAD/CAM processes and machining techniques. In 2018, the team developed a new product, now covered by 2 US Patents, from which they built a prototype and completed small batches on a Prototrac DPM. Using a separate third party vendor to draw/model in Solidworks and then another to CAM out code in Mastercam or other CAM software, the company moved at what now seems like glacial speed. The challenge was to grow the product line from one specific application and dramatically increase the number of product lines and the number of units produced. This continues to grow and the team is expanding their machining and production capabilities each month. During this time, they are maintaining high-end quality and tight tolerances while minimizing scrap parts and set up times. The company's end user customers expect and demand the highest quality and Aimpro Tactical is committed to delivering only that.

Bringing Capabilities In House To Streamline Processes
Elliott Guitars is a small boutique guitar shop that has been in business for over 16 years. We cater to musicians who expect more from the quality their guitars than the average player. As builders and musicians ourselves, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our designs and components to build the very best instruments possible. Several years ago, this process led us to the purchase of our CNC machine. In our search for better CNC design software, we were impressed by the products offered by NexGenCAM.
